Long-Term Care Insurance

Speakers of the Week No Comments »

This morning, we were presented with the exuberant topic of Long-Term Care Insurance by Mary Myles, of Primerica Ins.  Using props such as adult size diapers and a walker were enough to impact us on the gravity of the consequences for ignoring such later stage-0f-life.  We all may have shared the thought of our kids taking care of us someday………..but the reality is, are they who we really want to change our poopie diapers and carry us to and from the bath?  Why should we burden those we love?  Won’t it be hard enough for them to watch our deteriorating health condition already?

Good thing we know Mary Myles to educate us on our options!  Perhaps she could help you be prepared?

LDC Jewelers

Speakers of the Week No Comments »

Silver, Gold, Platinum……….Lee Chapin of LDC Jewelers is your FULL-Service jeweler.  We had the opportunity to listen to Lee this morning remind us of his personalized service and custom mastery.  He focused on his recent attention to corporate accounts for any of their customized, jewelery needs – from rings to pins to bracelets and more.  It’s reassuring to know we have the best jeweler around amongst us!

Lee put it so perfectly as he said, “When you go to a jewelry store, you buy what THEY want…….but when you come to me, you get what YOU want!”

Isn’t  that what you want for yourself or someone you love?

UPS Store

Speakers of the Week No Comments »

Needing to ship something as large as a bed or perhaps a car?  How about send a Christmas tree to Hawaii?  Need to have a package sent and held at a UPS store until you arrive from out of town?  Or perhaps you want to pay for the shipping of a package for a loved one in another state?

If any of the above questions touches on things you’ve wondered, well we all learned the other day that at the UPS Store at 1130 Fremont Blvd. handles all those situations and MUCH MORE!  Stephen Sleeper and his wife own the store and make customer service their absolute #1 priority!  Stephen amazed us all in his presentation as he touched on stories of each of the above scenarios.

It’s great to know we have a UPS store we can turn to for ANY of our shipping and packaging needs!

Successful Business Mixer

What a great BUSINESS MIXER we just had at the Islands Restaurant in the Del Monte Shopping Center!  Great location, scrumptious finger food, wonderful guests, loads of fun, laughter and exchange of business talk…………all the makings for creating long-term business relationships for the generation of future business leads!

Each Monterey LeTip member came prepared to gift a guest with their own special door prize………from books, to gift certificates, to cash, to bottles of wine………..needless to say, none of the guest left empty-handed!

Based on all the smiles and cheerful attitudes, I’d say it was a successful MIXER and lots of new business connections were made.  And based on conversations I personally had with more than a handful of guests, it seems as though our chapter will be welcoming them as potential new members as they saw their potential to grow their business with us.  How exciting that is to help grow each other’s business through our unique referral structure.

 OUR SUCCESS IS THEIR SUCCESS!

Sheila Baker of “Ambassadors Providing Amazing Care”
Sheila spoke about the importance of providing in-home care for the elderly and to make their last years of their life as comfortable as possible. To illustrate, she gave an example of an 85 year old woman who’s family felt it was time to clear out her surroundings. Unfortunately due to the disruption of her environment the woman became depressed and died only days later.

Roberta Brunett with “Your HomeTown Sewing Center”

Roberta spoke about the decisions we make as children and how it effects our adult life. In Roberta’s case she recalls life in the third grade and how she was fascinated with history (the origins of things) and loved learning to count money and organizing. Fifty years later she finds her self running a sewing retail store which requires her to organize materials, research the origins of specific textiles and how common patterns developed. She also related an interesting fact about how the textiles industry gave birth to the first computer systems.

Change of Venue for LeTip of Monterey

LeTip Sponsored Events No Comments »

In an effort to find the absolute perfect place to hold our Thursday morning breakfast business tip meetings, we tryed out Monterey Pines Golf Course. We (LeTip of Monterey) had our business sales leads exchange meeting there three times and loved it. The service was fantastic and they enjoyed having us. But as the saying goes, “All good things..” It seems they are revamping the entire golf course as well as the restaurant, so they need to close and remain closed until 2009. So we our now back to our Carrows Montery location.

If you have a business you’d like to promote join us for a free breakfast, and bring plenty of business cards to pass out. See ya there.

Address: Carrows 300 David Ave. Monterey CA 93940
When: Every Thursday 7:00am – 8:31am
