Successful Business Mixer

What a great BUSINESS MIXER we just had at the Islands Restaurant in the Del Monte Shopping Center!  Great location, scrumptious finger food, wonderful guests, loads of fun, laughter and exchange of business talk…………all the makings for creating long-term business relationships for the generation of future business leads!

Each Monterey LeTip member came prepared to gift a guest with their own special door prize………from books, to gift certificates, to cash, to bottles of wine………..needless to say, none of the guest left empty-handed!

Based on all the smiles and cheerful attitudes, I’d say it was a successful MIXER and lots of new business connections were made.  And based on conversations I personally had with more than a handful of guests, it seems as though our chapter will be welcoming them as potential new members as they saw their potential to grow their business with us.  How exciting that is to help grow each other’s business through our unique referral structure.

 OUR SUCCESS IS THEIR SUCCESS!

Sheila Baker of “Ambassadors Providing Amazing Care”
Sheila spoke about the importance of providing in-home care for the elderly and to make their last years of their life as comfortable as possible. To illustrate, she gave an example of an 85 year old woman who’s family felt it was time to clear out her surroundings. Unfortunately due to the disruption of her environment the woman became depressed and died only days later.

Roberta Brunett with “Your HomeTown Sewing Center”

Roberta spoke about the decisions we make as children and how it effects our adult life. In Roberta’s case she recalls life in the third grade and how she was fascinated with history (the origins of things) and loved learning to count money and organizing. Fifty years later she finds her self running a sewing retail store which requires her to organize materials, research the origins of specific textiles and how common patterns developed. She also related an interesting fact about how the textiles industry gave birth to the first computer systems.

In an effort to find the absolute perfect place to hold our Thursday morning breakfast business tip meetings, we tryed out Monterey Pines Golf Course. We (LeTip of Monterey) had our business sales leads exchange meeting there three times and loved it. The service was fantastic and they enjoyed having us. But as the saying goes, “All good things..” It seems they are revamping the entire golf course as well as the restaurant, so they need to close and remain closed until 2009. So we our now back to our Carrows Montery location.

If you have a business you’d like to promote join us for a free breakfast, and bring plenty of business cards to pass out. See ya there.

Address: Carrows 300 David Ave. Monterey CA 93940

"Joining LeTip a little over a year ago was the best business move I made all year. After a few short weeks the business started coming in. Now that I have built quality relationships with fellow members, my sales through LeTip leads grossed over $250,000.00 in my 1st quarter, and to date, just over $360,000.00. If you are looking for a great sales force without having to hire a single person, make sure you join the LeTip family.", Rick Davis, SOS Staffing Services, LeTip of Reno

"Linda and I enjoyed and learned immensely from your Network Training Seminar.  LeTip has increased our gift basket business significantly and the Northampton Chapter is now our extended and loyal family.  We are ecstatic over the various professions within our organization to which we can give referrals and also to help further the success of our own business.  In the future we would like to train people in the gift basket business and now we have the resources to do so.  We appreciate and feel honored to belong to LeTip., John and Linda Janson, All-Seasons Gift Baskets, LeTip of Northampton

"I am one of those who believes that networking is essential for building solid relationships with other business people, with my colleagues and with my customers. I have been able to settle over $1,000,000 in loans this year so far. Isn’t that worth getting up early every Tuesday? Sure, networking isn’t for everyone. My secret is that I try to give the group more than I get. Some people call it good Karma, I call it good networking.", Saul Rivkin, Beneficial Savings Bank, LeTip of Chester County East
