About Dr. Shawn Lasko 

Dr. Shawn Lasko was born and raised in Hawaii, accounting for his ALOHA spirit and his strong sense of OHANA or family. Hawaii shaped his love of the outdoors, water sports and physical activity. In high school, as an exceptional student he discovered an aptitude for math and science, while as a star athlete he developed a passion for sports, fitness, weight training and nutrition.

This provided a logical progression into his Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Biology & Exercise & Sports Science with a minor in Anatomy. From there he went to Palmer College of Chiropractic, the fountainhead of chiropractic, to pursue his doctorate, graduating with honors.

He supplemented his post graduate work with a certification in Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP), a specialization focused on the mathematical and biomechanical model of the spine. That was followed by a preceptorship in the Ruby Mountains of Nevada where he worked at the headquarters of CBP, developing a precision for the practice.

His unique skills were then sought by numerous doctors, resulting in travels from the heartland of America all the way to Australia and New Zealand, where he trained them in the exacting principles of CBP techniques. Desiring to settle down and realize the dream of starting his own practice, Dr. Lasko was attracted to the natural beauty of the Monterey Peninsula, the active lifestyle, and the proximity to his family and new wife.
